Aw... it's not that bad.

Just a little 'intramural' competition.

PS - the Senate (and the good Senator V. from Ohio) did not say they wouldn't go along with tax cuts larger than $350 B.

They just said that large cuts would need to be balanced with spending cuts, elimination of tax loopholes, etc. (It can't ALL be paid fo with credit cards :)

That's the root of a compromise that will emerge this fall.

...The problem is - as ALWAYS - spending programs, no matter how wasteful, are always harder to cut than it is to just have 'something for free', ie., sell bonds and load the whole thing up on future generations.
