<<Does it really matter who shot first? >>

Not to the Blame America Firsters like TP. The Americans are always at fault in the minds of TP and his type.

A few questions need to be answered here.

Why would anybody who just lived through the shock and awe of our raid on Iraq confront our well armed troops with AK-47s?
What made these people think they are in control right now and could tell our troops to leave?
What kind of sick, backwards, subhuman would bring a child to a firefight?

They got what they asked for.

Some simple rules for the interim period before Iraqi self rule:

1.)Don't confront the American soldiers with intent to harm
2.)If you violate rule#1, don't bring the kiddies to the resulting firefight.

Saddam doesn't live here any more.

It matters less who shot first than it matters who shot who.
There were three parties here, our soldiers, their soldiers, and a bunch of civilians.

The mujahadin of Iraq shot at U.S. soldiers.

The U.S. soldiers shot at everyone else civilian and mujahadin alike. As far as the civilians are concerned, the only ones shooting at them are U.S. soldiers. That matters to them a whole lot more than who fired first.
