Again, it's the fear factor. Lovey-dovvee diplomacy won't get you very far in today's world.

When bin laden hit the US on Sept 11th, he fully believed the US would not strike back with any significant force. He said as much. That's why he and the Taliban remained in Afghanistan doing bus as usual long after Sep 11 despite our ample warnings.

Now though, if he's still alive, he's much more cautious re doing anyhting serious against us.

Unfortunately that's the way it works.

But I do think this pullback of US forces out of SA is a very good development. A very important development. It suprises me actually. Hopefully it will soothe tensions in the ME a bit.

in line for regime change? Both possess the kind of traits
that USA wants to change, suppression, monarcht, WMD...
(except both are supported and supplied by USA, so that
may not count). USA is pulling out the troop from Saudi,
preparing for war stance.....
