When I was in college I had an idea that I wanted to work
on and patent that I figured was going to make me a
millionaire.

But then I discovered beer.

Anyhow I just found that someone else got the same idea and
made some improvements that I never even thought of.

If that link doesn't work, try this one:

Perhaps he's not a millionaire yet but if enough trail
bikers see this it might just catch on.

It is such a smart design.

I love the idea of how how he inflates the pontoons.
Apparently the propeller is air powered by pressurized air
from cranking the pedals with the pump mechanism attached
to the rear wheel.

Great idea. Especially how the entire kit fits in a small
back pack. My design used solid reinforced sytrofoam
pontoons and had a mechanized propeller off the back with
a rudder attached to the front. Never made it off the
drawing board though.

Their website:

I don't see a price list on their site.
I imagine it isn't cheap in price but then again neither
are the cost of some of these bikes today.

The dude may have found a niche.
