Hunk is out on the side of the road with a card board sign and dora is home doing crack

You can't blame either on changing gender models.

Hawkeye was a dirtbag.

I never liked Hawkeye, either, or any of the other characters except Radar, for all that matters. But the show was good.

I would regret seeing action taken on that sticky note in your will.

I'm doing what I can to delay that transaction.

With regard to men over the years, as a woman, I have been a student of such. Everything I have observed over the years tells me that men are more "together" now than they used to be. So much of that old male role model was bravado, a facade covering up a scared little boy with what they used to call an inferiority complex. I think that more men are more comfortable in their skin now than they used to be. My criteria for men as candidates for relationships have always been intelligence, a zest for life, and having it together. That last one was very rare at the time I came up with the list--I was always acutely aware of how rare--seemingly much less so now. Bravado is an asset in a war, but a real relationship killer.
