WordPad Questino. I want to save a wordpad file on my desktop. when i hit "save as", and enter RTF (rich text format), the file is saved as a Word file, not a Wordpad file. the Wordpad files i do have on my desktop have the following: "Type: Write Document" when i put the cursor over it. TIA. larry

Also ran Ad-aware. I was shocked to find 180 spyware objects imbedded like reporters on my 4 month old computer.

I'm not surprised. Since I changed my privacy settings in IE to custom a month or two ago, prompt me first time I visit a web site that wants to put a cookie on my machine, literally every website I visit the first time wants to save a cookie. I always block the cookie and do not get prompted again by that site. Interestingly, I almost always have full functionality as far as I can tell after blocking the cookie. So I assume it's usually a tracking cookie they want to give me.
