>>Traditional remedies are a load of rubbish without scientific foundation <<

<hehe, for you only<g>.>

Okay, I admit to being provocative there. For example, aspirin is a traditional [English] remedy and it's lucky it became traditional before doctors could demand it be available only on prescription [they'd make a fortune if people had to pay to get that stuff, which originally came from willow bark, if my traditional memory is correct].

But the real problems don't respond much to herbal stuff. Though lymphoma for example is treated with tree extract, Vincristine, [and our son is fortunately alive thanks to such traditional herbal remedy].

I don't trust the mainland number or the Hong Kong number. That's because they don't match. Double the recovery rate in China compared with Hong Kong? I suspect 'possible' cases are included in the numbers and Hong Kong perhaps has a more accurate definition.

They really need a photo of the virus so they can positively identify cases.

As CB says, we need to follow cohorts and see what happens to individuals. Then we get real numbers. The rate is absolutely at least 7%, even including probables! It's not that high for caucasians for some reason. Perhaps bad diagnosis or they don't smoke anywhere near as much or something.

PS: <Vincristine & Vinblastine...Anti-leukaemia (Vinca, Catharanthus).

Originally thought to be of use in treating diabetes by the herbalists of the area in which Catharanthus grows, these two chemicals have been found to be extremely good anti-leukaemia agents, and have been partly responsible for the very high survival rate of childhood leukaemia sufferers. Many other Vinca alkaloids are also used in medicine, ajmalicine being the most important.
