In recent days ALTR and XLNX have made a lot of noise with regard to their prospects (with PLDs) taking away market share away from traditional ASIC makers such as LSI. Can someone (who knows what he is talking about and can also remain objective regardless of his investment positions in the stock) explain how much of ALTR and XLNX's noise is B.S and how much of it is true?
