I've got a brand new Dell XP machine sitting right here. Moving from W'98 to it. So far, I have managed after two days to install the dsl modem, install Norton antivirus/firewall, and register all the programs that require registration. Give me about 3 more weeks and I might actually have it set up to trade on. Maybe.

Assembled in Malaysia btw.

Comment on DELL. About 6 weeks ago I ordered an 8200 series laptop, 2.0 ghz, 15 inch screen. Original ship date was 14 days out. Shipment got delayed first for 10 days, then for 10 days more,....order cancelled by me. Why pay top dollar for month old system config?

Last week. Price was same as above for newer 8500 series laptop, faster 2.4 ghz, bigger 15.4 screen. Shipment took 6 days from order date.

Change in demand????? Slow quarter coming?
