I like mellow too. Who wouldn't?

Naive women think their is a personality type called "mellow man" that has it all together. Whatever he is, (and we could probably argue for days about it) he gets laid a lot.

What ever gave you the idea that being aloof and authoritarian was the '50s model of manliness? Have you ever watched "Father Knows Best", "Leave it to Beaver", "The Donna Reed Show", "Ozzie and Harriet", "My Three Sons" and such? Dad is always close to his kids; he is affectionate towards his wife (within the limits of television decency<g>), who often enough manipulates him or makes gentle fun of him; he is soft- spoken and comforting; he is generally fair, and when he makes mistakes, he is able to own up and correct himself; and his is reassuring, helping to keep home a place of refuge and security.
