It looked quite hopeful that summer of '99, or maybe the next winter, can't recall, but it looked good for Yetwene, Luo, Camatchia, etc .... the other day i was reading back in this thread, you can see all posters acknowledging the risks, but taking a chance on it anyway .... well that was not the time to bet on Africa, there was massive dilution and a rollback ahead ..... 1-for-20 rollback, so if you paid .20, that's 4.00 now -g- .... i haven't gotten all of this year's gains, btw, i only had a few, let them go fairly early in the run, thought i could get them back cheaper, duh ... well that had always worked before -g-

Now it looks quite hopeful again, with the trading firms vended in, making hard cash .... so i'm back in for a few at just north of 1.50 average .... it's an interesting story, totally new management with much of their own cash on the line, making something out of the old company ..... if they get Koidu rolling it's a cash machine, and even without that they seem to be doing fine with the oil supply, this pipeline deal, maize contracts, etc .... one thing about such efforts, is that people so connected may be less likely to run into political trouble ... ? ... we shall see ... i'm wondering about it more than anything, curious on several aspects ..... there is a poster on stockhouse, TadeuszA, who seems to know a fair bit about it, a south african i presume

I've been following your money supply thread .... interesting stuff, i don't pretend to understand it, but can clearly see i should -g- .... cheers
