Daily Planet lists at premium

01may03

THE first brothel to list on the Australian Stock Exchange has debuted at a 20c premium to its issue price.

Daily Planet shares have hit the exchange board at 70cs, compared to their 50c issue price.
The Melbourne brothel is the first in Australia to become a listed company - and is doing so with the help of ex-Hollywood madam Heidi Fleiss.

The Daily Planet plans to open a "sex Disneyland" in Sydney.

It is also considering franchising The Daily Planet within Australia with likely venues in Perth, Brisbane, Sydney's western suburbs and a second venue in Melbourne.

The company raised $3.5 million in its initial public offering.

The Daily Planet's shares reached as high as 75c in the first 10 minutes of trading.

The stock was trading at 73c at 1110 AEST with more than 268,000 shares changing hands by that time.
