I'm glad that you at least called the story inspired. It is a story about temptation of the worst kind. Using devious measures to cause the woman to question just what God said to her and then using pride as a backdrop to convince the woman that she SURELY would not die but would gain the wisdom of God.

Whether it an actual happening or not, I leave to the individual. That is is a great lesson on temptation is sure.

I compliment you on your post to McR. Not a new concept but surely a good one. Jesus, alone, in the desert. No food. Apparently little or no water. Forty days and nights.

Humbled and teachable- by his father, God.

James

@Mars, I repeat: "2Mars, The serpent said, Ye shall not surely die? You follow the plan of your father, using subtle, cunning attempts to create doubt. Your type is more threatening to Christianity than any other." James

You talk from a lofty, prideful intellectual mindset that chokes off feelings that you probably have never in your life allowed to surface. Who is the REAL Mars?

Get honest with your feelings. There might be hope for you if you are not too fearful to look.

Will the real person imitating a know it all please stand up?

James
