LOGIC WILL SOLVE THIS, JUST AS IT PERPETRATED THE ATTACK

Don,

Re: My first impression was the funny angle was a last minute correction, rather than an elegant maneuver.

You are wrong. The tilting of the wings had nothing to do with trajectory. The salient video is no longer accessible (for obvious reasons). The photo here:
skfriends.com

shows the attitude of the craft which has been aimed directly at WTC II from 50 mile north (beyond the Indian Point Nuclear Plant) nucleartourist.com

The "skewing" of the wings was no directional maneuver.

Re: I think the government would have a responsibility to tell the truth

The guvmint always has a "responsibility" to tell the truth. That has never stopped them from lying.

Re: I suppose a case could be made for either scenario, but my take is the remote control (or variations on a similar theme) theory is based more on a need to account for the suicide nature of the attacks than anything else

None of the people responsible for driving the aircraft into the WTC towers committed suicide. They are all still employed by the DoD or have gotten good retirement packages.
