I still don't get why anyone wouldn't want commercial free radio?

I don't think anyone is OPPOSED to it. It just really doesn't matter. I've had XMi for more than a year and I haven't noticed a commercial being played more than a couple of times. Commercials really aren't a problem; it is the long streams of commercials found on AM/FM that are really annoying. Honestly, the most annoying commercials on XM are the commercial pauses on the talk/news channels that are filled with junk -- junk which SIRI has, too.

On the stations you listen to, you don't hear several minutes of commercials back to back -- it is more like once a month you'll notice a commercial. Literally.

I think you may be low on your calculation of outstanding shares for XM.

No, I'm not -- the numbers are very close, although shares are being issued as we speak pursuant to the earlier financing agreement; but ultimately, after all shares are issued, 275-300M is close; it could be less if subs are blown out (as it looks like they may be). As to a secondary, you're right -- its a rumor. There is little reason for one at this time, other than to capitalize on an improved price. I would expect them to wait until the stock is in the teens or 20s to do this. I small secondary will go a long way toward solving some future problems though -- if, for example, they issued 20M shares at $20 they could get rid of some 14% debt. I would be totally supportive of this once the stock price will support it.

Nice day for SIRI, showing its independence from XM by going up nicely while XM is down. 80s tomorrow? Hold on to your shares, $1.2 should be in the works soon enough.
