energyplay, it is much fun for me to learn something new and study something old;

Mucho appreciate response;

Much DD work to do;

I will continue to buy, but slowly, in time/geography/valuation diversified basis;

That monthly distribution stuff is #$@!5$#@! great, like a slice of fresh cheese cake or a dollop of moldy cheese on trap contraption:0)

I am lurking here Subject 17783 ...

... and rummaging there oilpatchupdates.com ...

... what else should I pay attention to?

Chugs, Jay

Nice post ep,

most of the holders of these trusts SEEM TO BE sensitive to the income of the next 3-4 months much more than the distribution ove the next 12-18 months Is that a nice way of saying a lot of holders are silly LOL.. But yes, and just look at the happenings around ex-dividend day on some of these trusts for more silliness... or opportunities ;o)

BTW the trust idea works in other areas also besides energy and REITS. I've sardines, freezers, transport, manufacturers private label food manufacturers.. paying out from 12 to 17 % based on ACB. One bad pick though was Halterm Marine terminals. Not a big holding but they relied on too few customers (the lack of demand can therefore be much more severe than in the case of energy stocks). I should have passed because of that but you can't win them all.

regards
Kastel

90% of the energy from hydro power. Self sufficiency in oil by 2006 (delayed one year due to platform accident) . The best place for biomass energy. Distil sugar cane to make ethanol at USD0.20/liter, and use the residues to burn in a thermoelectric. Grow sugar cane for next year's harvest to 'sink' C02.

Producing a ton of sugar for USD180, vs Australia USD335 and Europe USD710. It is even cowardice if we would be allowed to compete with other countries.

And we are yet to start exploiting bio-diesel, from Babacu, dende or palm... Come on Bush sign Kyoto Protocol, we are salivating to sell renewable, clean energy.

And harvesting 315 million tons of sugar cane in Center-South Brazil, there is no danger of cachaca -the raw material of Caipirinha- going up.
