SARS, WHO and India have political ramifications beyond my comprehension. In the meantime, this is from the Indian Ministry of Health:

Ø      As per WHO report dated 28th April, 2003, a cumulative total of 5050 probable cases and 321 deaths have been reported from 26 countries.  This represents an additional 214 cases and 28 deaths when compared with last report issued by WHO on Saturday.  The new deaths were reported from China (9), Hongkong (17), and Singapore (2).

Ø      In India, as on 29th April, ten laboratory positive persons (9 cases and 1 contact) have been reported.  These ten cases are from the states of Maharashtra (6 ? one of these cases is admitted in Delhi), West Bengal (2), Tamil Nadu (1) and Goa (1).
