MIR- sounds like VERY Conservative accounting from their auditors. I bet they can find some way to capture part of that tax asset, or roll it into the future.

Could sell a highly appreciated real estate asset, have the tax loss cover the profit, then by an equivalent asset, which can then be depreciated, taking the tax loss into the future...

VIX bottoming - I would expect Nasdaq to be heading down. Too much tech still over priced. Big trend now towards cyclicals, industrials, utes, energy, some financial stocks.
I think there is much more options activity in Nasdaq and tech than almost anywhere else.
