"And continue building settlements into the land which of course later on it will try not to give back. How convenient..."

Israel demolished its settlements in the sinai for peace with Egypt. Convenient indeed!

RE: "You seem to be saying Israel can put off a Palestinian state indefinitely just by saying it still does not trust them."

I am saying that Israel MUST "put off" a Pal state until they can trust them. I have proposed that less than the state you and the Pals want, should be part of a "process" that can build trust.

Certainly there are Israelis that want to "transfer" the Pals from the West Bank and Gaza and annex them. For most of Israel's history they were out of power. The failure of Oslo has discredited the "Peace Process" and put them into power. Continued terrorism will promote the "transfer" doctrine. There is a "land for peace" dynamic for the Pals. They will more likely keep the land they are currently living on if they stop their violence.
