True. It's stupid for Kerry to attack Bush right now. He should focus on issues. If he's too dumb to see that, then he's to dumb to be President.

Kerry better be real careful using that... It could easily backfire on him.

That does sound kind of corny on Kerry's part. Man, what a photo-op Bush had on the aircraft carrier last night. That was quite a staged bit of propaganda. Trying to push people's patriotic buttons.

This is the kind of material that makes all politicians look even worse than they are. As Commander and Chief Bush should be on the carrier, where would kerry/clinton be in a similar situation? Hosting u n lackeys at some table of largess?

If the democrats are so concerned about the economy why not get out of the way. This taking credit for enterprise is beyond the pale, government spending goes to productive enterprise or it goes to regulation and beaurocracy. When government money goes to Northrup Grumman, there is a Chance that not only will American forces be enhanced, but there could be 100's of new applications spawned as a result. DOD work spins off into commercial and consumer applications, which are rarely developed by the Original Company, mostly the commerce side of DOD applications are developed further out and by more entreprenurial parties who see the advantage of the already spent money to claim a bit of success for themselves.

Spending on Defense is one of the few areas where payback comes, with Mr Rumsfeld managing DOD we are likely to see the trend accelerate as the old guard is replaced by the more innovative and energetic folks who have been operating on the margins for a very long time. Speed this up and rapidly move to cut capital gains rates so the trading community can make up some of the deficits...

Hurry Up GWB, Cut the capital Gains taxes now.
