Sun is finally embracing Linux. The LX-50 was a dirty entry into the Linux market, but you'll see this Intel line continue. The followon, the dual XEON 2.8 LX-60 is already in early shipping.

Sun does not need Linux to fail in order for them to succeed. Sun knows Linux will succeed. This is one of the reasons I like the company.

I have posted here before. I might have first come here when Sun was near the top to poke some fun. No matter... Sun was always I company I hated to hate. It was their laziness at the top that I really hated.

Sun, imho, is a good bet to succeed as Linux succeeds.
