I guess you missed my other point, that WINTEL is getting into a lot more of the Unix space recently due to cost considerations and their ability to scale better than in the past.

FYI- The vast majority of new weather graphics equipment in the US (and probably Canada) has gotten away from an SGI platform lately and is transitioning to Linux which surprised me.
