Someone or many fired from the crowd at the Americans during this demonstration.

They shoot their guns...we shoot ours.

We are better shots, have bigger and more guns and have armor against their bullets.

I would recommend the Iraqi or Iranian folks that pulled the triggers...stop shooting at US soldiers...it is suicide. Unless that is what it is meant to be. Then by all means...shoot.

Photos were interesting, and the children...nice touch. Since they came from Yahoo News the photos all have to be legit right? Bull$hit Ray...bull$hit. These photos are just photos, there is no established link to what happened in the streets during this demonstration.

Nice try.

We all feel your pain.

Ray:

Isn't it ironic that we, as an alleged "occupying force" as you claim, allow these demonstrations to take place? Any real imperialistic force wouldn't permit it.

Those photos were posted on an openly anti-war site, and it seems they have a bit of an axe to grind. Their mission statement includes this telling line:

To provide edited audio, video, and print stories of the above on the internet for independent media outlets and the general public.

Edited. Not raw data, not both sides of an issue, not balanced. Edited. Conforming to the views of the website owners. Who, by the way, describe themselves as:

... a non-commercial, non-corporate, anti-capitalist collective.

Socialists.

Didn't you also see the pictures of Iraqis kissing US troops as they marched toward Baghdad? Didn't you hear of ordinary Iraqis offering the troops baths and hot food?

The Iraqis can finally protest safely, and they know it; that's the beauty of freedom. Let 'em protest all they want. Start shooting at soldiers, though, and all bets are off.

The dudes with the sign are almost right. Sooner or later the US will leave Iraq - when we're good and ready. The protesters will claim they drove us out but everyone will know that's just posturing after the fact.

G'night.
