In my opinion the message about how to act when married (My three sons etc) was completely diffent then the message about how one goes about dating.

There were a few shows back then that depicted families with no moms at all in them. My Three Sons, Andy Griffith, The Rifleman, there are probably a few more I can't think of right now...

In 1968 I was a junior in High School and did I did my argumentative research paper for English Composition on why popeye cartoons should be banned.

It turned out to be only one hand written page. The teacher offered me an "F" on the paper, since he had been sending us to the library everyday of the semester to work on our research. I argued until the bell rang that I had been researching this topic all my life, I challenged him to show where I had failed to support my argument along the lines he had proposed for the paper, then I threatened to keep my inane arguement going the next day; so, he settled for a "C" if I would correct some grammar mistakes. What a wimp. He should have flunked me and sent me to the principal for my disruptive behavior and obnoxious attitude.
