ep,

Several years ago when I would get home from work I would switch on one of the financial news channels that would show a recap of the days trading as a ticker on the bottom of the screen. It would show the days biggest % winners and losers. Usually almost all the days biggest % gainers were stocks that were trading at less than $5 and $10. As a result, for my own personaI managed accounts, I started to focus on lower priced NYSE issues, particularly those that were getting whacked and dumped by the funds that owned them. Still haven't got the timing thing down just right as I still catch a falling knive or two, but I believe they are best place to make BIG bucks. The key, I believe, is to focus on a companies survivability (asset values & no BK's). The institutional and mutual fund managers who dump these issues do so regardless of price which often creates outstanding opportunities for the individual. investor.

EP, Dabum,

The only reason I'm buying MIR now is that the fundalmentals have changed dramatically. Two weeks ago MIR was an option versus bankrupsy. As long as BK was a distinct possibility, money flow would be negative. I believe this changed last week and am willing to start building a position.

Sure it's speculative...but so was RRI last November..
