It will only be the excuse if he loses. Frankel's one of the best and he's got the best vets in the racing world in Kentucky. After they get done with him he'll be ready to run through a brick wall. If he's not ready Frankel will scratch him. He won't risk knocking him out of the other legs of the Triple Crown. He missed a day of training which doesn't mean much at this point. His work on Sunday was very impressive when he outfinished his stakes winning stablemate in little more than an open gallop. He's ready to run or he will be scratched.
