Gottfried, Of course I'm confused! There is a new and intriguing variation going on currently. Which is that the nasdaq has been rising for 12 week up-trend now. From 1260 to the current 1470. But this duration, even though longer than the prev 8-week up-trend, is much shallower. And has been interrupted by several vicious sell-offs. As illustrated by a 1 year weekly chart of nasdaq.

I think we have a more sustainable advance now, and I believe it will go much farther, because of the frequent bouts of profit-taking. I see no reason for this rally to stop before the nasdaq resistance at 1700.
