Better safe than sorry. It's always best to drain a pond before mosquitoes get out of hand. There was just too much pond scum forming over there. Clean-up time had arrived.

Yes, external treats to the US have been degraded. The job isn't finished. Now that the US knows who it's friends are. The beginnings of a new bull market....unlikely, yet. The battle with the french/german mindset is just beginning....sometimes crying uncle is painful but necessary. Only when mistakes are made can the lesson be taught.
