No one calls the US uncaring just because some crazy guy once open fire and shoot his peers at school in the US!

If we would be a policial state, we would establish a Zero Tolerance and lock them all up! But we don't have the money to create pseudo-jobs for a security-based society.

We chose not to be a police state and there's a price to pay for it. The same way the price we pay for freedom of speech but have to put up with pornography of all kinds.

It's better to have porno of all kinds as a price we pay to say wahetever we want. Burt lets have a police watch what we see and read so that we protect people from this evil.

Lula should use this children caring thing to negotiate NAFTA with the US. He could say, we can't sell our agriculture products into your market and this causes serious problems for our economy. Lets say the US drop the USD700 tariff it slaps on our exports of concentrated orange juice and the agriculture sector would benefit from this.

Then he could ask the Europeans to stop subsidizing sugar (Brazil costs USD180. European costs USD710). Thus as a result Brazil could have less rural exodus into the cities of people not prepared to live in an urban environment. The US and Europe would be considered really caring people.

But you know this caring thing is just a coat of paint of morality people like to have, don't you?
