Raymond, you should have just told him that you were trying to find the hospital to get checked in to have your suspected case of SARS treated, and you were meandering around because it was making you a little dizzy.

Then see how fast he backed up out of your face -g.

pezz is going to tell you're constantly baiting the US and that this type of citizen's harassment is not a policial state.

We were having one of those swimming pool side Sunday afternoon talking about taxes stuff in different countries.

A friend of us (married to an US guy) told the story of her smaller daughter falling downstairs. Any person who have a child have had a child falling downstairs kid accident no matter how carefull you are to avoid.

Her's fell and hit the head and that eye brow area that bleeds big time with the smallest cut. She pacicked seeing the bleeding.
The bigger daughter had been taught in kindergarten to call 911. She was pragmatic and called it. Telling sister crying and bleeding, mother is also crying etc.

Normally, in caring countries (which don't have this 911 thing) and where people feel for other people's problems, your neighboors come over, put a band aid, ice, lay child down, that kind of first aid stuff every parent knows or call a taxi, or if really serious call the paramedics.

Not in planet USA. The Brazilian mother first saw the paramedics arriving, then the fire dept. then a couple of police cars. Her husband when arrived (he was called too) almost had a heart attack fearing the worse seeing all those cars flashing lights, SWAT, uniformed men you name it, all in front of his house.

Now kid patched up, the police start interrogating the kid!!! Mother could not be present. That because they were trying to discover if the small girl was not beaten by the mother!!!!

Then it was the turn of the older sister to confirm the story of the small sister and the mother. Police satified. They left. Life is not easy in policial countries, I can tell you!!! But there goes your tax dollars :-)
