Bill, I think the market has DEFINETELY moved out of the Gray area. While mainstream American investors are still fearing losing more money, I believe the flow of funds info will show money moving from money markets and bond funds back into equities. This could soon become a torrent if the psychology of the investing world changes. I think it is on the verge of doing so.
I also think that this is the beginning of a major bull market in a secular bear market and the lows that we have seen will ultimately be tested again, if not broken. But a 20-40% upside, even from here would be well within historical parameters. jmho.
I am close to fully invested, maintaining an equity/fixed income ration, but my fixed income money is mainly in high yield and emerging market bond funds, which are up 10-15% YTD. For the most part, I am not trading, just holding.
I am concerned however, that many stocks are looking very toppy on the charts. larry
