Bubba,

"The smallpox was a gargantuan effort that included a proposed nationwide vaccination"

Small pox is extremely contagious, but there is a known vaccine. SARS is, in spite of news media hype, relatively non-contagious with no vaccine currently available.

Most authorities view it as patently ridiculous to suppose that SARS is a useful bio-terror weapon or a bio-war weapon if only for the simple fact that illness for most people is relatively benign and because without a vaccine the illness would work against it's creators as well.

The vast majority of SARS patients suffer flu-like systems and do not die. Most of those who have died were older and/or had additional serious health issues.
