Bubba, Many health authorities are already on record that they regard as remote the possibility that SARS was artifically created. It should be noted that new mutant strains of SARS are more likely to be less virulent than the original virus. The reason being is that the more virulent forms tend to hospitalize or kill their hosts faster and the host is given less opportunity to infect others. Milder versions of the virus tend to allow the host to mingle longer in the general population infecting more people.

It is the lower end of wmd's range but has proven to be an effective and potent show of US weaponry capability to impact economic growths elsewhere in the globe. I fully agree with that analysis of yours... I think that SARS psycho-bioweapon is aimed at choking the Chinese powerhouse --just as the so-called '97 Asian flu. The latter, however, was merely a financial flu aimed at wrecking havoc first among Asia's Tigers (Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Korea) and, ultimately, in mainland China proper. That first attempt to wreck the economic growth of East Asia failed miserably --hence the ominous escalation with SARS... The Bilderberg cabal, aka the Transatlantic Old Guard, doesn't want China to be the US's next (major) economic partner because such a sea change will entail other geopolitical realignments as well --to name but a few: India/Kashmir/Pakistan, Japanese capitalism vs Korean capitalism, the fate of the euro (vs dollar vs renminbi).
