Don, The passengers of the planes that hit the WTC and the Pentagon were not aware of the suicidal intentions of the hijackers. I would venture to say that in 99% or more previous hijackings, suicide on the part of the hijackers was not an intention and passengers on the planes were safer by not attempting to interfere. On the plane that crashed in PA, the passengers were aware of the hijackers' intentions. Had the passengers on the other flights been aware, things may have ended differently.
