I prefer the energy trusts, because the units have incorporated within a call option on the goodies in reserve, in the ground, to be tapped, when the time is ripe ;0)

I just figured out my tax treatment: 30% withholding on USA trust distributions, 25% on Canadian trust distributions bought via USA market. I will soon (30 days) have the answer on 'withholding tax % on Canadian trust bought via Canadian market'. I think it may be 15%, and if so, get how I will be voting with my wallet;0)
