Edscharp, US is a free country and freedom is expressed openly here. Anyone who speaks out against the Govt. is not someone who "has a negative agenda" against the US. We all love this country and patriotism is not a prerogative of those who order troops into war, order the troops to die and then yell from rooftops "we support our troops"

I am one of many US citizens who believe that our troops do not have to give up their lives so that we and our children can live. After all, the mighty Russian Communist empire was toppled without a single shot being fired from our side. The East European and Soviet people brought it down. So why is it that a noname Saddam Hussein needed Americans to shed their blood?

Those who oppose the war are patriots also. They are not those who have a "negative agenda against the US". Currently there is mild form of fascism prevalent in the US. Or else, opposing viewpoints would not be branded unpatriotic. Do you mean that the State Deptt. folks who oppose the war are unpatriotic too and have a negative agenda against the US?

So I would hope we would quit doubting people's patriorism, doubting people's support for the troops when that someone has an opposing point of view.

And no I am not a WASP, not a Jew, not an African-American, not a Muslim but a US citizen. Proud to be one by choice and not by chance since I was not born here.
