Yes, Detp. of State. Instead of outright ban on travel. Just make the folks fear. It works, perhaps better than the USSR outright ban, since the "freedom" thing is granted. Americans need a more broad experience about the whole world. They've got to step back and look from a distance to their won country to get the right perpsective. I only got to know what Brazil really is, after about three years living abroad. Never want to go back there to work. Because I am anti-Brazilian? No. Because I don't dislike Brazil for what it is. But for what it could be and is not. I am honest to myself. People who are nonest to themselves, are perceived as anti-this or anti-that. I refuse to puit a cover of political correctedeness to make my arguments more palatable to the people who read me. That is exaclty what the establishment bureaucrats do with the whole US population to keep them on the dark.
