That is exactly the way all the entertainment world, Television included portrays the South... Most of theHollywood types just hopped off a bus from Fargo, so what do they know of life in the South? The most maligned group is the South... As Lewis Grizzard use to say "He served his time in Chicago, and people always said he talked slow..they wanted to know if they ever read a book"! Anybody up North ever heard of Tennesse Williams, William Faulkner, Flannery O'Connor, Margaret Mitchell, Harper Lee...Fannie Flagg..I could go on, but people believe that they want to believe.
