From your point of view, Tom Siebel is a more successful entreprenuer than Buffett?

Yeah, actually I do think that, because I don't think Buffett is an entrepreneur, I think he is an operations man only. A good one mind you, but operations is operations. Kindof the difference between John Sculley and Steve Jobs, remember when there was a debate about who was more key to the industry? Jobs won.

Don't get me wrong, I think Buffett is capable of some levels of market definition. Just nothing new and groundbreaking... after all his style is to BUY companies is it not? Maybe you can point me to some huge industry space that Buffett pioneered that I am unaware of though. Something along the lines of - Jobs and Pixar (responsible for advances in animation which influenced other filmakers such as Disney), Siebel and CRM (CRM now an offering of virtually every large software player), Jobs and desktop publishing, manifested itself into a number of companies such as ADBE. Something like that, that Buffett did I am looking for. You know... did he invent Coke for example? I don't consider the washington post and sees candies to constitute valid inventions.

edit- BTW I have heard Buffett referred to as the worlds greatest investor. An investor is not an entrepreneur, in laymans terms an investor is a couch potato who wants to provide money for entrepreneurs that is all. Believe me, I know, I have been both and investor and an entrepreneur and the former is FAR EASIER. And generates a whole lot less in terms of economic stimulus.
