I read his book "Wetware" a long long time ago. I like his style.

Haven't heard of Rucker but I have a passion for a select few sci-fi writers, all of whom have a sharp wit (Vonnegut, PK Dick, William Gibson, etc.) so I'll be looking forward to checking out a new one during summer hammock reading season. Thanks

Thanks buddy.
I'm not much of a sci fi reader but maybe I'll check him out.
last fiction stuff I read with any vigor was about 10 years ago when Clive Barker came out with his series of short stories.
i read a quote from Stephen King somewhere said Barker "scared the hell" out of him too.

Yeah, Barker, I haven't even kept up to see what he has been writing lately either.

P.S> If you want a close up look at some prison reality, check out JD Hopkins "Queens of Iron"
It's a quick read and a real good story.
