Bob, as an American, I could only hope you are correct. Unfortunately, GM has so calloused me with advertising hype for so many years, I frankly don't pay them much attention any more. When I start seeing BMW comparing themselves to Cadillac, I'll consider taking a look. In the meantime, I suspect it will continue to be the other way around, as it has for the past 20 years.

My Dad was a dedicated GM customer whose ambition was to own a Cadillac, which he fulfilled before he died. In the meantime, GM and Ford have literally given away the market they previously owned to overseas manufacturers, and I have no ambition to own a Cadillac:
