Bill Clinton has out-of-marriage sex in the White House, the Dems overlook it. Bill Bennett gambles, harming only himself potentially....and the Dems have a field day.

I have to give em their pound of flesh, Karen. We knew Billy was a "Bad Boy" when he was running for office. Bennett makes his living as a secular preacher selling books of virtue. Made himself an easy target.

What he reveals about himself with this habit is that he's a fool. I'll have to keep that in mind when I listen to him, or don't from now on.

I certainly don't recall it that way. It would be hard to find a Dem politician who didn't deplore Clinton's behavior on this one. They just didn't think it was an impeachable offense. Hard to argue with that.

Bill Bennett gambles, harming only himself potentially....and the Dems have a field day. Quite typical of the Dem mudslinging...

Hard to see how Bennett's gambling is equated with the Dems having a field day. I don't recall any candidate mentioning it in the South Carolina debate. And, no doubt, had they done so, Lieberman, who is a good friend of Bennett's, would have chided them for doing so.

As for the fact of his gambling, apparently, a good many Washington politicos, certainly including Dems, knew about it. Perhaps just not the level. And the revelations apparently came from journalists, not from Dem politicians. Unless someone knows different.
