<<no i refer to the confusion of purpose. dell has a winning formula. now, why on earth would they screw that up?>>

i believe that sunw's low end pc with staroffice and linux os that is to be released this summer will show the negatives of dell's model. sometimes it pays to be vertically integrated vs. horizontially.

if sunw can offer a comparable pc for $200-$300, written in xml, vs. the windows commodity, then i think there might be a shift in thinking in corporate america against the norm. time will tell but i am betting on a company that can sell a pc for $200 and ramp up to a total solution in the millions.

those billions sunw has been investing during this tech depression has a good chance of paying dividends:) soon.

rocky.

I thought we were talking about SUNW and EMC? But SUNW and Dell does seem to me to be a cross breed of two different types of entities. jdn
