For an added twist to the recent (recurring) discussion, we have on the meaning one should derive from short selling of stocks:

To summarize, the short selling may not be a red flag but management's reaction may be. Specifically, if management reacts by 'attacking' the shorts (which shareholders always seem to want) instead of just running the business, that could be a bad sign. I don't know the original source of the study but it makes sense to me.

Nice call. I followed it but never quite pulled the trigger-
I was concerned about the long term resiliency of their business. In retrospect an idiotic perspective for someone who was only going to hold this for a trade.
