The average American's opinion ain't necessarily synonmous with the truth, is it? Where exactly did I say that? If you're saying that the average American believes "x," and therefore is true--well, you've lost me... I simply said that the answer to the poll question could possibly be interpreted in a less than absolute manner and that that sort of interpretion may not be convenient to the arguments of you demolib self-appointed philosopher king types - who believe average Americans are ignorant sheep. Perhaps "the sheeple" are nuanced enough to be able to link the issues of Iraq and 9/11 without "credible evidence" of a direct link? Many of the oh-so-nuanced anti-war crowd did when it was convenient to their arguments... ex. the "root causes" crowd using the first gulf war, sanctions etc... you know - in order to BLAME AMERICA FIRST.
