Dick has some interesting thoughts but I think he is playing with us on this one.. first Lott was damaged.. He couldn't help any longer. second Snowe and McCain... Weren't they the same last year. didn't Snowe and Chaffe get a promise for a revisit by Lott before the Senate year closed on the budget. I forgot what the promise was but doubt frist has gone back to it. These Senators are budget minded and have not changed. Last tax cut Bush had more democrats to go with him.. Unless Bush comes up with some bucks for the State of Me. and R.I. he will need to smooth over some democrats imo third.. I do not think Gingrich took a run at Powell ( but still wonder why no mention of Powell on air craft carrier by Bush). I believe it is more of same not happy with career diplomats who represent other countries before USA.
