John, I yield to your superior estate-planning expertise. Perhaps Dr. J. can consult you for strategies to maximize the declining value of his remaining shares before he undergoes bankruptcy.

The choice to divest one's self of specific assets for "estate tax planning" purposes, is on its face the conclusion of a comparative valuation exercise.

So? Why does it inexorably follow that sale of a share of stock for those purposes inevitably means that the seller believes the stock will do poorly?

Your thesis is a huge non-sequitur.
