You got it!

These guys had held DSL technology and put it on the shelf for a decade until CLECs brought DSL to light. Then, when the RBOCs choke the CLECs competitions, they raised the DSL services prices, but ended up eating their own ass.

In order to compete effectively, cable companies have to provide bundled services, particularly start the deployment of cable telephony, which is the glue, and sometime central piece, to all the other services.
