Excuse me, what class where you? Oh, yes, class of '66. We were discussing shows that mostly aired in the '50s, and I specifically asked about your discussions about them circa '60, when, as it happens, you would have been in high school. I myself was four years old in '60. I do not claim any real knowledge of what people at large thought about the shows in question, I merely observe that the fathers played certain roles in context, and that they were immensely popular. I also can attest, in reference to how such shows were taken by an unscientific sampling (familiar with them in rerun), that there were those, in my experience, who would refer to such shows to try and gain insight into problems they encountered in their own lives.
