I have awareness and used it as a direct reply to this statement; You said; "that outlook strikes me as not very imaginative. fortunately, the markets, in their reliance on only the recent past, lack imagination and are thus always laid low by the unexpected. therein lies opportunity." I offered something totally imaginative and unexpected, further I went back as far(er) than even hypothetical history would allow; all from my own awareness of a particular writers view on the role of gold (staying on topic) and as a reply to your own chastisement. PS what I just noticed is that my original post was not even to you, so I've been sidetracked. That bait you interjected was just too much.
